Sights of Bali

Here are some of the sights of Bali. We draw up a complete route with a selection of interesting places individually.

Tirtaganga water palace

The water palace was built by Raji Karangasem in 1942. Tirtaganga, which translated into Russian means "The Sacred Water of the Ganges", does not belong to such ancient buildings and combines the architectural traditions of Chinese and Balinese masters of the last century.

Raja admired the local beauty, so he chose one of these places in the very heart of the island to build the palace. The surroundings of the palace are distinguished by the beauty of the views, tranquility and tranquility, and the purest spring water flows from the ground.

Monkey Forest

All fauna lovers are advised to visit this place. The forest is located near Ubud, in any guidebook you can find information about the location of this attraction. The plantations are a whole monkey city, in which almost all species of primates are collected, there are a lot of them and they are everywhere!

The monkey life is simply amazing, you can see all the elements of their life: how they play, take a bath, reproduce and raise their cubs, talk with each other, and also rest on the walls of the famous temple. Accustomed to the attention of tourists, monkeys behave calmly and at ease. But, it must be remembered that if you take something shiny with you for a walk in the monkey forest, then soon this product will surely disappear from you - they are still those lovers of jewelry. But now, the monkeys will be happy to share a meal with you and will be glad if you feed them sweets and other sweets.

Tombs of Gunung Kawi

According to historical records, the tombs were erected in 1080. They represent the burial place of King Anak Wungsu and his entire family. In order to get to the main attraction, you need to go through about three hundred steps. But, the path itself is incredibly exciting and spectacular, you have to overcome fields with cultivated rice, go through palm groves and water sources. The route also includes the following attractions:

  • mountain river with a bridge;
  • jungle tropics;
  • overhanging vines;
  • chirping of birds of paradise, etc.

The complex includes five compact tombs. The king himself is buried on one side of the river, and on the opposite, his queen and numerous concubines. Secluded cells are located nearby, in which monks and pilgrims slept and prayed. Gunung Kawi is said to be the oldest Hindu temple in Bali.

Balinese cuisine

Satay (satay)

One of the local favorites, Satay (satay), consists of small cuts of beef or pork, chicken or goat, fried on wooden sticks. This dish is traditional and popular throughout Indonesia. Each culture has its own recipe according to which this dish is prepared.

The wrapped sate (sate lilit) is a culinary trick invented by the Balinese themselves, where they mix coconut milk with meat, seasoning with spices. To the surprise of tourists, the meat is not cut into pieces, but wrapped around a skewer, so the word "lilit" means "wrapper".

Babi Guling

Babi Guling, the Balinese roasted suckling pig, is simply a delicacy and a community dish. The piglet is roasted completely so that it roasts evenly. When cooked, its meat acquires an excellent juicy taste also because it is seasoned with special spices before and during the cooking process. This dish is ordered in Bali restaurants.

Nasi Tepen.

This dish is mainly served for breakfast. It is a soft rice mixed with herbs and spices, which goes as a side dish to fried chicken meat, to which jackfruit, eggs, eggplant and beans are added.
