Sights of Belarus

Here are some of the sights of Belarus. We draw up a complete route with a selection of interesting places individually.

Nesvizh Castle

In this majestic structure, military power is harmoniously intertwined with grace. The construction of the castle, intended to play the role of a defensive fortress, began in 1583, but over time it turned into a luxurious residence of the Radziwill princes. Over the years of its existence, the Nesvizh castle has been attacked by enemies and destroyed many times, but each time the fortress regained its former grandeur.

Bialowieza Forest

Belovezhskaya Pushcha was first mentioned in handwritten sources in 983. The unique ecosystem of the reserve has a huge variety of flora (trees - 25 species, plants - more than 900 species, many of which are included in the Red Book). To preserve the richness of the animal world, many aviaries are equipped in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, allowing you to admire herbivores and predators.

Brest Fortress

The beginning of the construction of the fort - 1883. The defensive structure was built in an area surrounded by two rivers: the Western Bug and Mukhovets. The Brest Fortress became famous during the Second World War.

Now it is a memorial complex with numerous museums and monuments. The ruins of the fortress remind of the war and the heroic deed of its defenders.

Cuisine of Belarus

The national cuisine of Belarus combines the traditions of many countries: Ukraine and Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, there are also echoes of kosher Jewish cuisine here. This is where its uniqueness and diversity lies.

Sorcerers

The classic dough recipe for sorcerers known since ancient times included flour, onion juice, eggs and salt. Nowadays, the basis of sorcerers is often potato dough. In appearance, sorcerers look like thick pancakes, but with a filling. The most popular are meat and mushrooms.

Vereshchaka

This dish has been known since the time when Belarus was part of the Lithuanian principality. During cooking, the vereshchak loudly "squeals and squeaks", which is why it is called that.

The dish is prepared from pork ribs, pork sausage, carrots, onions, celery and porcini mushrooms. In a frying pan, meat products are first stewed, then the dish is salted and pepper, juniper seeds and sautéed vegetables are added. Season with a sauce made from meat broth, flour and herbs. They eat heather with pancakes or pancakes.

Nalistniki

This is the name for thin pancakes with various fillings (sour cream, jam, honey, etc.). Nalistniki are eaten both with main courses and as a dessert.
